7 October to 31 March: daily 10 am-4 pm
last entry: approx. 60 minutes before the stated closing time

The Imperial Castle is only closed on:
1 January, Shrove Tuesday, 24/ 25/ 31 December.

Castle Gardens
15 April to October:
from 8 am at the earliest until nightfall (8 pm at the latest)
November to 14 April: closed

Maria Sibylla Merian Garden
April to September: Sundays + Mondays 2 pm-6 pm
October: Sundays + Mondays 2 pm-4 pm
November to March: closed

Guided tours / audio guide

In the Palas and the Imperial Castle Museum there are no guided tours; visitors can go around on their own.

The visit of the Deep Well is only possible with a guided tour (included in the entrance fee).

An audio guide is available for the exhibition at the Palas in the following languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Czech

There are also some devices suitable for use with cochlear implants.

Cost of the audio guide: 2 euros per person
